Company History
Bella Vista Catering has been in the family business for over 40 years. We have brought many skills and talents from food service experience, wedding planning, and event
coordination to the event planning industry. We are excited to use all of this experience and knowledge to help those we serve. We invite others to have a wonderful experience
and enjoyable time in using our professional services.
The business of catering services within the family originates from the Startup family. The first service industry professional was William Dawe Startup who was a chocolate
maker for the King of England. He soon traveled with his family to the Americas and brought fine chocolates and candies with him. He settled in Utah County and founded the
renowned “Startups Candy Factory” which still provides candy to royalty and celebrity of all kind.
His grandson, Elbert Startup, soon moved his grandfather’s industry standard to Southern California where he founded “Startup's Catering”. His business grew to be one of the
most successful catering companies around. His family of eleven children has continued to carry on the tradition of food service and professionalism throughout Southern California,
and extending to parts of Arizona, while returning to its roots in Utah.
Hundreds of thousands of clients have enjoyed this legacy, including Tournament of Roses VIP, Cal State Los Angeles, Stadium of Fire, Qwest, weddings around the country, etc.
